Women’s Empowerment Workshop

A HEALTHY LUNCH AND DRINKS WILL BE PROVIDED!

Woman’s Basic Self-Defense & Personally Safety Class:

All woman over the age of 13 (with a parent signed waiver) will learn about self-defense and safety tips to avoid being a victim of a crime. The Polk County Sheriff’s Office will be presenting the class. that is approximately one hour to one and a half hours long and includes a short lecture and hands-on techniques. Attendees will demonstrate all the techniques on a body opponent bag (B.O.B.).

Objectives:

• Personal Safety: Common sense safety tips are presented on how to avoid being the victim of a crime.
• Women’s Basic Self-Defense: Learn basic safety tips and techniques to enable women to escape less than desirable situations.
