Hello fellow EPCAR and Florida Realtors® District 10 member, As we are sure you know, the Sadowski Fund was set up many years ago to help fund affordable housing initiatives through the collection of documentary stamp taxes at closing. What you might not be aware of yet is that Senate Bill 2512 was passed this past legislative session that permanently cuts the funds available for these such programs in Florida by 50%. In response to SB 2512, Florida Realtors® will be embarking on a historic endeavor. We are launching a constitutional amendment campaign that will ask voters in 2022 to permanently prevent the use of housing trust fund dollars for anything other than the housing programs they were designed to support. Please sign the attached petition and help us get this amendment on the ballot. You can drop it off at EPCAR's office or mail it directly to Floridians For Housing, 3515 NW 98th Street, Ste 200, Gainesville, FL 32606. Don't hesitate to ask every registered Florida voter you know to sign the petition.
